Beets are believed to be an excellent liver tonic and blood purifier in holistic and eastern medicine.
Beet gets it red color from betacyanin which is a potent cancer fighter.
Beetroots are also great if you have iron deficiency as they are very high in iron.
Beet also makes you young. Beets are high in folate that fights with wrinkles and aging of the skin. Drinking beet juice on daily basis will help you have a healthy glowing skin.
Beetroots are rich in vitamin C, iron, manganese, folate, vitamin B6, betaine and potassium. The greens parts of beets are a good source of vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, copper and calcium.

Easy beet juice recipe:
1 Beet root
2 Carrots
1 Granny smith apple
1/2 inch ginger ( optional)
1 tsp fresh lemon or lime juice ( Lemon or lime juice is important as it increase iron absorption from beet)
2-3 mint leaves(optional)
3 twigs of parsley ( optional)
Pinch of salt to your taste.
Blend all ingredients with 2-3 cups of water ( can modify water quantity depending on your preference) . I love to use warm/hot water as it gives an instant boost of energy.
