Cherries are a rich source of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.


One cup of cherries contains 90 calories with an ample supply of fiber, protein, and vitamin A and C


Cherries are one of the very low-calorie fruits and are packed with numerous health benefiting chemicals.



Arthritis and Inflammation: Anthocyanins are the pigments that give red, purple, and blue plants their rich coloring. These pigments have anti-inflammatory properties that help with many inflammatory conditions like gout. One medical study found that eating cherries may lower the risk of gout attacks by as much as 35 percent.

Cherries also provide natural osteoarthritis relief due to their anti-inflammatory effects.




Heart disease-The anti-inflammatory property of cherries has also been found effective in reducing heart-disease risk factors by scavenging action against free radicals.






Insomnia-Cherries contain melatonin which is five times more than the blackberries, strawberries and helps cure insomnia. Melatonin plays a vital role in sleep and bodily regeneration. In a 2011 study published in the European Journal of Nutrition, researchers concluded that the ingestion of tart cherry concentrate improved sleep duration and quality in healthy men and women. It is also suggested for jet lag.



Constipation- The high fiber content of cherries creates bulky, easy stools. Cherries also have been shown to reduce the risk of colon cancer due to their high fiber content.

Eyes- Cherries are high in beta-carotene, which is nourishing to the liver and strengthening to the eyes.






Anemia-Cherries are an excellent way to nourish the blood. High in iron, cherries rebuild deficient anemic blood.
